Heat is on at conference meet PDF E-mail

The Aurora Huskies battled temperatures in the high 90s and an even higher heat index Saturday at the Central Conference Track Meet in Schuyler.

And while distance runners struggled in the heat, it had no impact on those competing in field events where numerous personal records were set.

Golfers win again PDF E-mail

The Huskies defended their home turf Saturday, winning the Aurora Invite by 10 strokes over Sutton.

Luke Grossnicklaus and Mitch Oswald both carded 78 scores, finishing second and third, respectively. Tyler Dubas, competing on the JV squad, shot a 79 to finish fourth. Nate Bell earned the seventh place medal with an 81 and Ben Grossnicklaus finished 12th with an 85. Connor Strong shot a 90.

Huskies run strong PDF E-mail

Cool temperatures and blustery winds didn’t keep the Aurora Huskies from better their season marks in several events at the Grand Island Invitational Thursday afternoon.

Tayor Thiele lowered her time in the 300 meter hurdles to 47.91, Ben McQuiston lowered his time in the 800 meter run to 2:00.3 and both the boys and girls 3200 meter relay teams had season best times.
