Electrical problem PDF E-mail

An electrical problem at Aurora Public Schools created enough heat and smoke to trigger the fire alarm Monday at around 8 p.m. The Aurora Fire Department and emergency responders rushed to the high school, where Supt. Damon McDonald reported that the situation was under control.

Wednesday was the first day of school for students in Aurora's grades K-9 -- a emotional time for both parents and students. Students in grades 10-12 headed back to class on Thursday. Aurora administrators report an influx of new students, an indication enrollment will increase for the 2013-14 school year.
