Abandoned vehicles, houses to be targeted by Phillips board PDF E-mail

Concern with the appearance of a maintenance building in Phillips launched a broader conversation last week about how village leaders are dealing with abandoned vehicles and buildings.

Former village attorney Dorothy Benton, a native of Phillips who has lived in the community for the past 10 years, began by questioning the board about its plans to cover up the windows of the maintenance building rather than install new windows.

Santa came to call in Phillips Saturday afternoon, attracting a steady stream of children to his knee. Young Piper Stalnaker wore a pretty red dress for the occasion and had lots of things to say to St. Nick.
